About Me

Travel with Augusto
I am a native Peruvian, born in Miraflores, Lima in 1956. At the age of 2, my family moved to the Amazon jungle where I lived in a small village near the city of Tarapoto where I lived until I was almost 16 years old. I moved to Lima and continued my education and work in tourism and teaching English. At the age of 23, I emigrated to the United States where I have lived ever since. In the year 2000, I started commuting to Peru on a regular basis and have been living in both the U.S. and Peru ever since. I have traveled the world extensively as well as throughout Peru. During my travels abroad, I found the Peruvian artisan works to be equal if not superior to those found in Europe, Asia and Northern Africa.
